Georgetown

Georgetown University is a private research university in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Georgetown has a prestigious reputation to match its historic roots and alumni. Georgetown is also a world-class catholic institution. The average cost before aid is $73,840 and after aid is $30,107. The acceptance rate is 16%, and the graduation rate is 94%.

Georgetown's most popular majors include social sciences, business, management, marketing, and related support services, multi/interdisciplinary studies, foreign languages, literatures, and linguistics, and biological and biomedical sciences.

To get into Georgetown you would need a GPA of 3.99. This means you would have to be at the top of your class, and you'll need nearly straight A's in all your classes to compete with other applicants. On the SAT you would need at least a 740 on math and at least a 720 on reading and writing added up it equals 1460. The average ACT of Georgetown is 32. The 25th percentile ACT score is 31, and the 75th percentile ACT score is 34. Also meaning a 31 places you below average while a 34 means you are above average. All applicants are required to take the SAT or the ACT. Both tests are acceptable, and on neither test will a writing component be utilized in admissions decisions. In addition, it is strongly recommended that candidates submit results of three SAT subject tests.
