University of California Los Angeles (UCLA)

The University of California Los Angeles also known as UCLA is a public research university located in Los Angeles. It became the Southern Branch of the University of California in 1919, making it the fourth oldest university out of the 10 University of California systems, UCLA is also the oldest of the campuses in Southern California. The average cost before aid is $34,620, and after aid is $14,309. The acceptance rate is 16% which is pretty high compared to other universities, and the graduation rate is 91%.

UCLA was founded in 1919. It is also the only leading research institution in the U.S that was started in the 20th century. The top 5 most popular undergraduate majors at UCLA are biology, business economics, political science, psychology ad psychobiology. UCLA also ranked #20 in the 2020 edition of Best Colleges. UCLA also has a prestigious School of Theater, Film and Television, and school of dentistry. The Ronald Reagan UCLA medical center is one of the top-ranked hospitals in the country. But most of all UCLA is famous because of its location in LA, West Hollywood at the second biggest city in the country, the university benefited a lot from Hollywood fame and popularity. UCLA is also a great sport university.

To be able to get into UCLA you would need an average GPA of 4.36. This makes UCLA extremely competitive, with a GPA of 4.36 UCLA requires you to be at the top of your class. You'll need nearly straight A's in all your classes to compete with other applicants. On the SAT reading and writing you would need a 620-710, on the SAT math you would need a 600-740, and on the ACT composite you would need a 29-34.

UCLA is considered one of the most selective universities in the United States and it is getting more and more difficult to get in each year, but with very good grades and test scores, you may have a good chance of getting accepted.
