The University of Utah also known as U of U or the U is a public research university in Salt Lake City, Utah. As the state's flagship university it offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and more than 92 graduate degree programs. The average cost before aid is $24,472 and after aid is $13,728. The acceptance rate is 66% and the graduation rate is 62%.

The U is a Salt Lake City center of academics, powerhouse sports, and research. The U of U's school of medicine is well known. They are particularly well regarded for its primary care program, they are also the only medical school in the state. The most popular majors at the University of Utah include speech communication and rhetoric, psychology, general; economics, general; biology/biological sciences, and registered nursing/registered Nurse.

To get into the U of U you would need an average GPA of 3.61. With a GPA of 3.61, the University of Utah requires you to be above average in your high school classes. You'll need at least a mix of A's and B's, with more A's than B's. The average ACT composite score The U is a 25. The 25th percentile ACT score is 22 and the 75th percentile ACT score is 29. In other words, a 22 places you below average while a 29 will move you to above average. The typical SAT score needed to get into The U is a 560-670 on the reading and writing and a 550-680 on the math section.

The University of Utah is fairly easy to get into so I may use it as a backup school, also considering I have lived in Utah my whole life I won't be talking about the weather and all that jazz.
