Emory University

Emory is a private university located in Atlanta, Georgia. Emory was founded in 1836 as "Emory College" by the Methodist Episcopal Church and was named in honor of Methodist bishop John Emory. The average cost before aid is $69,502, the average cost after aid is $26,760. The acceptance rate is 22%, the graduation rate is 89%.

To get into Emory University you would need an average GPA of 3.78. Emory requires you to be above average in your high school class. You will need at least a mix of A's and B's, with more A's than B's. You can compensate for a lower GPA with harder classes, like AP or IB classes. The 25th percentile ACT score is 31, and the 75th percentile ACT score is 34. In other words, 31 places you below average, while a 34 will move you up to above average. There's no absolute ACT requirement at Emory University, but they really want to see at least a 31 to have a chance at being considered. The average SAT math score is 740, the average reading&writing score is 695, the composite is 1435. The 25th percentile math section score is 690, the 25th percentile reading&writing is 660, the composite score is 1350.

Of the 4,210 colleges and universities that reported crime and safety data, 3,956 of them reported fewer incidents than this.
