University of Michigan--Ann Arbor

The University of Michigan often referred to as Michigan, is a public research university in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The university is Michigan's oldest; it was founded in 1817 in Detroit, as the Catholepistemiad, or the University of Michigan, 20 years before the territory became a state. To get into the University of Michigan--Ann Arbor you will need typical high school grades. You will need above-average grades in order to be admitted into the University of Michigan--Ann Arbor. The average high school GPA of the admitted freshman class at the University of Michigan--Ann Arbor was 3.82 on the 4.0 scale indicating that primarily A- students are accepted and ultimately attend. The 25th percentile ACT score is 31, and the 75th percentile ACT score is 34. In other words, 31 places you below average, while a 34 will move you up to above average.
