You'll need mostly A's ideally with several AP or IB classes to help show your preparation at a college level. If you're junior or senior, your GPA is hard to change from this point on. The average ACT score is 30, the 25th percentile ACT score is 27, and the 75th percentile ACT score is 33. In other words, a 27 places you below average, while a 33 will move you up to above average. There is no absolute ACT requirement at UT Austin, but they really want to see at least a 27 to have a chance at being considered. The average composite SAT score is 1355, with the math section at 685, and the reading&writing section at 670. The 25th percentile composite SAT score is 1240, with the math section at 610, and the reading&writing at 670.
